Athletic Department Winter Tryout Information The athletic department would like to announce MS cheer, boys basketball, girls basketball, swimming & diving, and wrestling information. Please remember that all athletes MUST be registered on Final Forms (can be found on the website) AND must have a physical uploaded in Final Forms prior to tryouts. Updated schedules can also be found at www.phmsathletics.com Cheerleading Tryouts: Wednesday, October 15th from 2:45-4:45 PHMS Auxiliary Gym. Please wear athletic attire, hair must be tied back, and cheer/tennis shoes. First practice will be on Tuesday, October 22nd at 2:45-4:45 Questions please contact Coach Griggs at kgriggs@smcsc.com 7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball: Open Gyms scheduled on Tuesday, Oct. 14th and Thursday, Oct. 16th from 6:30-8:00 in the MS Main Gym. 8th Grade Tryouts on Monday, Oct. 20th-Wednesday, Oct. 22nd from 2:30-4:30. First practice will be on Thursday, Oct. 23rd from 2:30-4:30 7th Grade Tryouts on Monday, Oct. 20th-Wednesday, Oct. 22nd from 4:30-6:30 (students must go home after school) First practice will be on Thursday, Oct. 23rd from 4:30-6:30 7th and 8th Grade Girls Basketball: 7th Grade Tryouts will be on Thursday, Nov. 13th and Friday, Nov. 14th after school until 4:30. First practice will be held on Monday, Nov. 17th after school until 4:30. Please bring athletic wear, basketball shoes, and a water bottle. 8th Grade Tryouts are on Monday, Nov. 17th-Wednesday, Nov. 19th from 2:30-4:30. Please bring athletic wear, basketball shoes, and a water bottle. First practice will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20th from 2:30-4:30. Wrestling (6th-8th Grade Athletes): Morning conditioning will be held after fall break every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:45am-7:00am in the high school weight room. There will also be open mat sessions every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-5:30 starting Oct. 14th. The first practice will be held on Monday, Dec. 1st from 4:30-6:30 in the auxiliary gym. Swimming (6th-8th Grade Athletes): Callout meeting on Nov. 25th in the MS library. Open swims over winter break (optional w/more details TBD). First practice on Jan. 5th at 5:00 pm.
